Course Summary
This diploma is ideal for carers looking to expand their understanding and skillset within their chosen field of care. The programme is designed to structure thinking and give students the knowledge to perform their role to the highest standard and in compliance with all legal guidelines.
The diploma programme is internationally recognised and will give students the potential to move to a senior position programme. Students will complete a selection of both mandatory and optional units, with each unit holding a different credit value. Assessment
Diplomas are completed via e-portfolio. All students will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will be on hand to provide virtual support. The assessor team is there to help students work to the best of their ability and complete their diploma in good time.
The e-portfolio is a collection of evidence submitted via an online portal. This evidence comprises a range of documents, from peer statements, presentations of evidence and a series of Q&A sessions.
Evidence is collected via experience gained in the delegate’s workplace whilst they perform their usual working role and will cover a series of competence and knowledge-based units.

To be eligible for our Health and Care Management course, we need to see that you have:
Two subjects at GCE A level or equivalent, plus passes at grade C or above in three subjects at GCSE level or equivalent
If you don’t currently hold the above qualifications, we also offer this course with an additional foundation year, which is designed for students who need extra support when starting their degree course.

Course Summary
The aim of the course is to attain high level learning opportunities that is designed to provide a variety of personal training skills and development programme in Health care Management, which will benefit learners wanting to work in the healthcare industry. The course also equips the learner with theoretical and key knowledge principles for application in businesses and suitable for people wanting to obtain senior management roles in the healthcare industry and related businesses. Areas that are covered in this course include fundamental aspects such as: strategic resource management, personal leadership and management development, international healthcare policy, managing finance in the public sector, human resource management, Research for senior managers, strategic planning, and organization behavior.
The diploma in Health and social care management course at level 7 is designed to help the learner provide a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge and application of health and social care issues, which is suitable for people wanting to work in senior management roles as in healthcare organizations. Key areas covered in this course include fundamental aspects such as: strategic resource management, personal leadership and management development, international healthcare policy, managing finance in the public sector, human resource management, and organization behavior. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand a range of learning outcomes based on the individual course units, which will equip the student to understand the needs and management of health care working environments. A range of complex real life issues are also being identified and critically evaluated through research in each of the units for the purpose of problem solving and in addressing wide range of management practices.
Entry Requirments
Academic: Level 6 Diploma in Healthcare Management or relevant UK Level 6 qualification or equivalent overseas qualification as recognised by UK NARIC
Work experience and age: Mature students (over 21) with relevant work experience.
English: If you are not from the United Kingdom or a majority English-speaking country you must provide evidence that you are competent in English language at a minimum of CEFR level B2 from a recognized English test provider.
Assessment
Assessments of student works are mainly through assignments. Details of The submission of assignments are shown in the assignment briefs. The assignment briefs also provide the deadlines for which assessments must be submitted. The assignments are submitted in both hardcopies and through the e-portal. Students must also keep their works and receipts confirming the submission of assignments. So in the event of student work being lost, the student will be required to produce a copy of the work and submission receipt. If the student is unable to do so, their work will not be marked.
Intended Course Learning Outcomes:
The course provides an opportunity for you to explore the importance of different forms of organizational behaviors in organizational effectiveness and efficiency, an understanding of the importance of organizational structure, culture, motivation, creativity and leadership.
The aim of this course is to help you develop the skills and techniques to analyze and control finance in a public sector environment. It will also explain accountability for public sector finance and provides you with an opportunity to explore the international context for healthcare policy and organization of healthcare. There will also be discussion on contemporary issues and promotion of public health, and will help you understand the political, social and cultural issues that help to determine healthcare policy and provide you with an opportunity to critically assess the policies and practice contextually.
It will also help you develop skills and knowledge to develop a vision and direction for an organization or division within an organization. The unit is particularly useful for leadership in public service organizations and links with the NHS leadership framework and provide you with an opportunity to explore the mechanisms for managing resources to achieve the business objectives of organizations. It also aims to help you understand the roles and strategies used in acquiring, managing, and developing human, physical and technological resources and to understand the importance of marketing in achieving business aims and objectives, and the roles, strategies and processes used to manage the marketing function.This units aims to introduce you to the delivery of excellent customer service. You will also develop knowledge and understanding required for quality measurement and management of service delivery. The units is contextual and will therefore require you to draw on your own experiences and aims to help you develop the skills required to produce a research question and carry out independent research using appropriate research techniques, to enable you to analyze research findings, evaluate research methodology used, analyze findings and justify/contextualize results, and present findings.
